Show my location is one-shot; Follow me tracks continuously (more battery) and auto-stops after 10 min idle or when you leave the page. Dashed ring = counted radius; soft circle = GPS accuracy (desktop can be miles off). Show my MGRS grid is off by default and not remembered — the grid is truncated to your accuracy so it can't overstate precision. Diagnostics: the app records usage and error diagnostics tied to your account, kept for 90 days. They contain no location data.

Route exposure measures a drawn route against the full camera and facility datasets — not just the layers currently switched on.

        Fans and circles are illustrative. Field of view and range are not recorded in the source data — only the bearing is. The shapes show roughly where a camera points, not how far it sees. Their size is chosen so they read on screen; it is not a measurement and should not be paced out on the ground.

        Directional — a fan at the tagged bearing. Omnidirectional — a circle and a ring. Not assessed — nothing is drawn, because nothing is known: no camera type and no readable bearing.

        The exposure table is a separate question. Its facing/away assessment assumes a 90° field of view within each distance band, so a camera can point roughly at a route on the map and still read as away in the table.
        Green space — protected and public open space (PAD-US). Trails and Paths — greenways, cycleways and named paths (USGS & OpenStreetMap), excluding sidewalks and farm roads.
        Rail & transit — subway, light-rail, commuter, tram and monorail lines plus their stations (no bus). Source: OpenStreetMap.

        Novel leads only hides permit leads within ~150 m of a confirmed camera. Category and Confidence rows tap to toggle which devices are shown.
        Antenna structures — registered tall towers and masts (FCC ASR), not all cell sites. Cellular sites — licensed legacy cell sites (FCC ULS 800 MHz), not modern 4G / 5G.
        Pole-mounted street-level nodes (permit data). Montgomery County MD & DC only — no equivalent public small-cell permit data exists for the other regions yet.
        Government — offices and town / city halls. Law enforcement — police, courthouses and prisons. Diplomatic — embassies, consulates, ambassador residences and liaison offices. Source: OpenStreetMap.
