VECTOR 3

Data & Credits

VECTOR 3 aggregates publicly available data. Every source in use is listed below with the layers it feeds and its licence. Sources whose licences require attribution are listed first.

Attribution required

These licences oblige us to credit the source. Where we have modified the data, that is stated.

OpenStreetMap contributors ODbL 1.0

Device locations · paths & trails · rail & transit lines and stations · government & law-enforcement buildings · diplomatic facilities · chokepoints. Also the underlying data of the Street and Black basemaps.

© OpenStreetMap contributors — openstreetmap.org/copyright · ODbL 1.0

Share-alike. The Open Database Licence requires that any database derived from OpenStreetMap data be offered under the ODbL as well. Layers built from OSM in VECTOR 3 are derived databases and carry that same licence.

DC OpenData / DCGIS CC BY 4.0

Official District of Columbia cameras — closed-circuit street cameras, automated safety cameras and traffic cameras · embassies · police stations, fire stations and hospitals · military bases.

© the District of Columbia — opendata.dc.gov · CC BY 4.0

Changes made. This data has been modified. DC OpenData records are merged with records from OpenStreetMap and other sources and de-duplicated against them, with the official DC record preferred where the two describe the same feature. Geometry is normalised to point locations and re-tagged into VECTOR 3's own categories.

City of Baltimore, BCIT CC BY 3.0

Official Baltimore camera locations — CitiWatch CCTV, and Baltimore DOT automated enforcement (red-light, fixed and portable speed, commercial vehicle).

© City of Baltimore, BCIT — data.baltimorecity.gov · CC BY 3.0

Changes made. This data has been modified. Baltimore records are merged with records from OpenStreetMap and de-duplicated against them, with the official Baltimore record preferred where the two describe the same camera, and re-tagged into VECTOR 3's own categories.

DC DDOT — TOPS occupancy permits CC BY 4.0

Small-cell installations in the District of Columbia.

Changes made. Permit records are filtered to small-cell installations and reduced to point locations.

About this data

VECTOR 3 aggregates public records and open data. Records are matched and de-duplicated across sources, so a single mapped device may draw on more than one of the sources above. Positions are as published by the source and are not independently surveyed; some entries, particularly permit-derived ones, are marked as suspected rather than confirmed.

If you believe a record is wrong, or you hold rights in something credited here and want the attribution corrected, contact STRATCOR LLC.
